The 1998-built Atego is a first-owner vehicle, always kept in a dry garage, and has never been driven in winter or on salted roads. It has only ever had one driver, and the two bunks have never been slept in—nothing more than a jacket has ever been placed on them. The vehicle was specially built for transporting classic cars, from pre-war Horch, Maybach, and Mercedes SSK to the 300 SL Gullwing. It has only been used to attend events such as the Goodwood Revival in the UK, etc.

We believe there is no other Atego in such pristine condition—this vehicle could be placed straight into a museum in Stuttgart. All maintenance was carried out without exception by the same Mercedes-Benz workshop, which has been in business for 60 years.

The body can be locked all around, the sliding curtains open on both sides, front and rear. The ramp is hydraulically opened at the push of a button, and there is a winch as well as sufficient securing points. The 817 drives like a new vehicle. All vehicle documents are present, from technical drawings to bodybuilder invoice.

Downplating to 7,490 kg for old driving license holders is no problem. Nothing stands in the way of soon obtaining historic plate (H-Kennzeichen) status. If you are interested in this vehicle, please view the photos (as described above) on our homepage.
